Find Your Owner’s Manual

The first step in getting your equipment ready for the summer is to find your owner’s manual. This will have all the information you need to successfully perform any routine maintenance on your machines. For example, you may find information regarding specific products you should use or how often you should be doing a certain task. There may even be some hot weather tips to help you avoid an overheating machine.

Clean the Equipment

It may sound basic, but cleaning your equipment is a great way to get it ready for the summer. Giving it a good wash from time to time will keep it running smoothly and make for a more comfortable and enjoyable operating experience.

Inspection

Now is the perfect time to give your equipment an inspection. Although you’ve probably been using your equipment during the spring, it’s still important to make sure everything is running properly before the summer. Take some time to do a quick inspection of your machines. Make note of any concerns you may have.

Lubrication

One of the simplest ways to ensure your equipment is ready for the summer is to lubricate all moving parts. You don’t want your machines to overheat or get overworked. Applying a little grease can go a long way in making sure all equipment is ready for the season ahead.

Hydraulics

If any of your machines come with hydraulic systems, now is the time to inspect them. If something stops working in the middle of the day, you’ll lose out on precious time. Don’t let this happen! Before the summer starts, conduct a thorough inspection of all hydraulic systems and make sure fluid levels are where they should be.

If you notice anything strange while getting your equipment ready for summer, it may be time to head to the service shop. If you don’t feel comfortable or confident carrying out a repair, reach out to our service department and we’ll help you out!
